The Lagos state chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has issued a statement on the arrest and arraignment of Movie producer, Seun Egbede for iPhone theft.

The statement issued by Tope Bababyemi, interim Chairman of the association said the AGN would not wade into the matter.
Babayemi said, “For me, it’s an example of bad practice and by extent it’s an example of the kind of thing we as a society are working hard to discourage.
“At the level of the guild and association, because we are not a hundred percent settled, there are court cases and issues at the national level that are affecting issues at the state chapters.
“My position as interim chairman is that no formal request has been made to us for assistance in anyway.
“As such what you do in that kind of situation is you allow the law to take its course, because law and order is paramount in building society. If he has been found to commit that offence, the law must take its course.’’
