Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, gave a laser machine worth N19.2million to
Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) for the operation of prostate cancer.
According to the Chairman of ABU Governing Council, Alhaji Mohammed Dewu: ``The machine is highly sophisticated and will be used for the operation of prostate cancer to
reduce the amount of blood lost during surgery.
``It is very efficient; it improves the health of the patients and ensures faster recovery.''
The Chief Medical Director of ABUTH, Prof. Lawal Khalid, assured that they would make good use of the equipment.
