Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari has been spotted representing Nigeria at an official function at the 71st United Nations General Assembly.
Mrs Buhari is obviously not content with sticking to roles meant for the spouses of elected Presidents. She was seen sitting next to Isaac Adewole, Nigeria's health minister at a forum for the eradication of Tuberculosis in Nigeria. While her interest is commendable, her presence besides the Minister raises certain questions. ''Who gave Aisha Buhari a mandate?'' , ''Where are the other state actors who should be sitting in that chair?''.
