Governor of Akwa Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel and his predecessor, Senator Godswill Akpabio today held a closed door meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
PUNCH reports that Udom and Akpabio arrived at Obasanjo's Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State in company with a former prelate of the Methodist Church, Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Mbang, and some other state officials.
Addressing journalists on the purpose of the meeting, Udom said, ''I have come to show gratitude and respect for someone whom I regard as a father and whose advice I regard as invaluable and which also contributed to my victory at the polls''.
Other details of the meeting were not made public.
