22 governorship aspirants on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Akwa Ibom state have defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC; PUNCH reports.
The 22 aspirants popularly known as G22 are defecting to the APC because of the failure of the PDP to address the irregularities that marred the party's gubernatorial primaries in the state.
The 22 aspirants are expected to meet the APC’s presidential candidate, Major-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, on January 12, 2015.
