Governor Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State on Wednesday promised to provide the people with food to enable them to celebrate Christmas with happiness.
Al-Makura stated this in Akwanga at the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting of Nasarawa North Senatorial District.
"I want to assure the people of the state of better stomach infrastructure during and after the Christmas celebration to enable the people, especially the less privileged, to celebrate the Christmas with happiness”, Al-Makura said.
He restated his administration’s commitment to better the welfare of the citizens through the provision of food during and after the Christmas celebrations.
The Governor urged the Christians faithful to use Christmas celebrations to pray for peaceful co-existence, tolerate one another irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliation.
