Politics Amaechi Accuses Wike of Embezzling Funds Meant to Build 14 Primary Schools

The ongoing political battle between the Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi and the Minister of state for Education, Nyesom Wike is not ending anytime soon as both men have continued to throw darts at each other.

During a tour of the Obio-Akpor Local Government area, Amaechi publicly accused Wike of embezzling funds that were meant for 14 new model primary schools in the area; TODAY reported.

Amaechi said, "When I became Governor I appointed an Obio Akpor son as my Chief of staff. That was one of the offences I committed; choosing Nyesom Wike as my Chief of staff. I wonder if that man is truly an Obio-Apkor son by refusing another Obio-Akpor man from being Chief of staff. It is greed.

"Again, another problem you people have here is stealing. Those who steal Government money. I challenge them to a debate on stealing.

"As Governor of Rivers state, I called my Chief of Staff and gave him 14 schools to give to Obio-Apkor people. Did he give it to you” , the people screamed, "No".

"Our brother is the Minister for Education. By now, we should have had more schools in Elelenwo (a community in Obio-Apkor). This is somebody I helped to bring up. Anyone who can betray his brother can kill his mother", Amaechi added.
