The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on INEC, to ensure a level-playing ground for all candidates in the Nov. 16 governorship polls in Anambra.
In a statement on Thursday by its Interim National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed on Thursday, the APC noted that INEC had responsibility of ensuring that no candidate was short-changed in the election.
The party frowned at the plan to send some top officials of INEC to oversee the election, alleging that some of the officials were card-carrying members of one of the political parties contesting the election.
''If INEC, indeed, has any hope of organising a free, fair and transparent election in Anambra State on Nov. 16, it must immediately shelve the plan to send these highly-partisan and heavily-compromised officials to supervise the election.''
