Chelsea on Friday were defeated by Liverpool in a thrilling match at the Stamford Bridge.

Two quick goals in the first half by Henderson and Lovren put the Reds ahead by a nice margin before Costa struck 30 minutes to the end of the game.

Speaking after the game Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "It was satisfying of course. From the first second we had unbelievably good movement. We were quick in mind. We did really well. We deserved the lead at half-time.

"We have to learn how to manage the game plan. So often this season Chelsea scored in the last few seconds with a direct style. But I can’t remember too many chances from them. We had a few moments where we weren’t so good but that’s normal against a good team.

"We played football like hell. It was really nice to watch. In the second half it was a bit more difficult. After their goal, we managed it well."

On Jordan Henderson's goal: "It was nice, really nice. He’s such a hard worker, it was well deserved. He’s such a nice lad. There’s a lot of pressure on his shoulders."

On his part, Chelsea's Antonio Conte had these words to say:

"To find a reason sometimes is easy, sometimes hard. The goals we concede are strange. We must feel the danger and today we didn't.

"We have to reflect a lot on this game because it is important to understand the situation if we don't want to repeat another bad season like last season.

"We don't feel the danger, Never.

"In the second half the pressure was good. We tried and played with intensity but you must play attention to details if you want to think about a good team."
