Police in Gombe State on Friday in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Fwaji Tajiri, warned politicians and their supporters against violence before, during and after the Saturday's All Progressives Congress (APC) council congress in the state.
It said the command would not hesitate to use all legal means in dealing with any person or group of persons that attempt to disrupt the congress or create problem.
“The command warns all miscreants and political thugs to keep away from APC LGA congress on Saturday.
“The command will not hesitate to use all legal means to deal with anyone who tries to disrupt the congress or cause any trouble before, during and after the congress.
“All persons involved are hereby advised to play the game within the confines of the law or face the full wrath of the law.
“Also, any act of ant-social behaviour will attract dire consequences from the command”, it warned.
The statement further advised people to remain law abiding for sustenance of peaceful co-existence in the state and the country at large
