Abubakar Lado, National Youth Leader of Nigeria's leading opposition party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and four other persons have been sued for alleged criminal assault.
Hon. Jibrin Nalado, a councilor in Suleja is accusing Lado of ordering his abduction and subsequent assault. According to WEEKLY TRUST, Nalado alleged that he was abducted by one Murtala Badaru and two others on the instruction of the APC National Youth Leader, beaten up and thrown out a Toyota Saloon car, claiming he was rescued by a Good Samaritan and taken to a health center.
Nalado said his attack was prompted by his complaint over the non -issuance of registration booklets for the 130 polling units in the ten wards of Suleja Local Government Area during the just concluded APC membership registration exercise.
Lado and the other four persons are yet to be arraigned as they were not properly served notice with respect to the case.
