Politics APC Plans To Destabilise Bayelsa - MAES

The Movement for the Actualisation of Egalitarian Society (MAES) has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its Bayelsa State governorship candidate, Chief Timipre Sylva are already planning to destabilise the state to avoid defeat in the December governorship poll.

silvaaa.jpeg A statement issued by the spokesperson of the Movement, Femi Lawson, alleged that the APC planned to destabilise election Bayelsa by using the security apparatus to hijack power irrespective of the outcome of the governorship election, as it was clear to the party it would lose woefully to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which had been on the ground since 1999.

“The reality is hitting them daily in spite of their grandstanding and empty propaganda. Timipre Sylva is now jittery. A recent poll conducted revealed that the party cannot muster more than 17 per cent of the votes in Bayelsa State. Yet, the party is determined to squander several billions of money belonging to Nigerians, on the white elephant project of ‘capturing’ Bayelsa State at all cost.
