THE Senate is set to debate and adopt the report of its Finance Committee’s investigation into the alleged $49.8 billion oil funds this week.
It was learnt that the leadership has instructed its Committee on Rules and Business, led by Senator Solomon Ita-Enang, to immediately schedule the report for debate before Thursday to allow the chamber take position on it as a way of halting and reversing the disquiet that has arisen in the Upper Chamber since the Ahmed Makarfi- led committee submitted the report last Wednesday.
