The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Wednesday constituted a three-member committee to compile a comprehensive list of atrocities committed by the State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mbu since he assumed office in February, 2013, and send to the United Nations.

The Committee is headed by Andy Nweye, with Chukwuemeka Eze as Secretary and Emeka Bekee as the third member. It has two weeks to submit its report.

Mr. Mbu had come under heavy criticism from the party because of the manner the state police command had handled the lingering political crisis in the state.

The police chief was alleged to have taken sides with a group of politicians opposed to the state governor. He is also accused of taking orders from the First Lady, Patience Jonathan, an indigene of the state against the governor, Chibuike Amaechi, and his supporters.
