The minority leader of Kogi state House of Assembly, Solomon Afolabi Oluyori, has been sacked by the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja.

Solomon represented Ijumu constituency in the state Assembly had con- tested on the platform of the defunct All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), now All Progressives Congress (APC), and subse- quently emerged as the mi- nority leader of the House.

But Yakubu Kayode, who claimed he was the rightful candidate of the party, alleged that he was short changed by his party, and dragged the then ANPP, the electoral um- pire, INEC and Solomon as 1st, 2nd and 3rd defendants respectively, before a Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja.
