About eight top officials of the Nigerian military might be dismissed for their part in the infamous arms deal fraud.

According to Punch, about 10 senior officials who were indicted in a third report on the arms scandal will be interrogated by the EFCC this week. Two former army chiefs, Lt-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika and his successor, Lt-Gen. Kenneth Minimah are among those to be interrogated.

Also, the Director of Defence Information, Brig.-Gen. Rabe Abubakar, said the military officers indicted for involvement in the arms fraud scandal would face both civil and military laws.

He gave the hint that indicted personnel might be dismissed from service. The armed forces would not harbour officers that lacked integrity, he said.
