Mr. Doyin Okupe, a former aide to ex President Goodluck Jonathan was recently called in for questioning by the EFCC.

He was grilled over an alleged payment of N162million to him and his companies by ex NSA Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), and Chanchaga Local Government in Niger State.

He was admitted bail on compassionate ground and asked to report back later.

An EFCC agent, according to the Nation, added that Mr. Okupe pleaded not to be detained because he had heart problems, and the agency agreed.

“The reason he is not detained is because he claimed to have a heart condition and presented a medical report to back the claim," the agent said, adding that he had been reporting to the agency at intervals since his first interrogation.

Okupe was grilled on June 22, 2016 by the agency over the infamous arms deal fraud.
