Metro Arms Deal: EFCC Arrest Dasuki’s Former Aides, 20 Others

There are indications that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) officials have arrested some top-ranking former aides of the ex-National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki who worked closely with him while in office.

The arrest of the officials was in connection with the ongoing investigation of a scandal of $2 billion weapons contract scandal involving Dasuki the erstwhile National Security Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Sambo Dasuki, has been having issues with law enforcement authorities over his alleged role in misappropriation of the sum of $2 billion meant for a massive arms contract.

The $2 billion in contention was intended to purchase weapons to fight Islamist terror group, Boko Haram.
