Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday called US President Barack Obama a “son of a bitch” .

Duterte made the remark shortly before heading to Laos for the ASEAN Summit on Monday where he was expected to answer to Obama for his vicious war on drugs.

According to BBC, referring to Obama, Duterte said, "You must be respectful. Do not just throw away questions and statements. Son of a whore, I will curse you in that forum."

'Son of a whore' is not a respectful tone. Duterte is wont of unbridled utterances. He has called Pope Francis the "son of a whore", Secretary of State John Kerry "crazy" and recently referred to the US ambassador to the Philippines a "gay son of a whore" . Regretfully this time, it is with diplomatic consequences.
