Komla Dumor, BBC TV Presenter and one of Ghana's more famous journalists has died suddenly in his London home at the age of 41.
Until his death, he was a BBC World News presenter's Focus on Africa program.
He joined BBC as a radio broadcaster in 2007 after about ten years of Journalism in Ghana.
Ghana-born Dumor was a presenter for BBC World News and its Focus on Africa programme.
The President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama tweeted that the country had lost one of its finest ambassadors.
According to BBC, Komla Dumor died from a heart attack. Peter Horrocks, Global News Director for BBC says of Dumor, "he was committed to telling the story of Africa as it really is...Africa's energy and enthusiasm seemed to shine through every story Komla told".
Komla Dumor was listed as one of the 100 Most Influential Africans in New African Magazine's November 2013 publication.
