Unknown gunmen suspected to be cultists today killed seven people at the Federal University of Agriculture (FUAM) in Makurdi, Benue state.
According to Dailytrust, the deceased included, six students of the institution living in a private lodge within the university vicinity known as Shammah hostel and a private guard of the lodge.
It was learnt that five out of the seven corpses were discovered in one of the rooms while one was found along a foot path to the hostel..
The institution's Head of Public Relations Unit, Mrs. Rosemary Waku, expressed shock at the discovery as she confirmed five people killed including, four students and a security man attached to a hostel off campus.
She said it may not be unconnected with a cultists' attack which also claimed a life of one student and injured another on Monday, adding that it was believed the student who was killed on Monday belonged to a cult group that came for reprisal on Tuesday night.
