Some parts of Kaduna state was thrown into confusion when members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) popularly called Shi'ites clashed with youths in Kaduna.
The areas affected by the crisis include Tudun Wada, Kinkinau, Kabala West, Unguwan Mu'azu and other communities along the Nnamdi Azikewe bypass road was a shadow of itself as shop owners locked there shops and residents came under lock and key for fear of the unknown.
Daily Trust gathered that the clash erupted when the Shi’ites placed their flag and started sweeping the premises of the house of the Shi’ite leader, Mukhtar Sahabi that was burnt and later demolished by youth on Wednesday in Tudun wada.
The youth are said have asked the shi'ites to leave the premises and when they refused, they attacked them with clubs and knives injuring a few of the shi'ites.
Daily Trust also gathered that the youth are presently raiding shops belonging to Shi'ites in Ungwan Mu'azu area of the state.
