The Minister of Works, in a ThisDay report, described the Boko Haram terrorist attacks as 'mere distractions' preventing the people from appreciating the good work of the government.
His words: “I am really worried that the problem of Boko Haram is not allowing Nigerians to fully appreciate the work of this government,” he rued. “But let’s face it, this government has performed brilliantly. We will continue to meet the aspirations of Nigerians on roads construction and maintenance, better than what anyone has done since this democratic dispensation.
“If re-elected, President Jonathan will continue to do more and will not slack. Boko Haram and the others are mere distractions. I believe that by this time next year, all these problems will be a thing of the past.”
