The wives of the 19 northern state governors have said that insurgency in Nigeria has reached its climax with the abduction of schoolgirls in #Chibok, Borno.
The governors’ wives, under the aegis of the Northern Governors` Wives Forum, expressed the view in #Abuja on Wednesday at a meeting.
The Chairperson of the forum, Mrs Dooshima Suswan, described the abduction of the girls as cowardly, inhuman and uncivil.
``Our girls must be returned by all means. Since the terrorists have made it impossible for us to sleep, as a country, we must ensure that members of this terrorist group are brought to justice,’’ Suswan said.
She commended the international community for its support to ensure that the girls were rescued and commended Nigerians for condemning the abduction.
``We should maintain the momentum. We should also maintain support for our security personnel as they go about the task of finding the abducted girls.
``Whatever our differences may be, let us bury our pride for the good of the nation,’’ Suswan, who is the wife of Benue Governor, Mr Gabriel Suswan.
