Gowon in an interview with newsmen at the flag-off of Peugeot 301 production in Nigeria, said from his experience as the country’s former leader, Nigerians practising Islam don’t use the religion to cause havoc.
He therefore, appealed to all Nigerians to assist government in the fight against insurgency, stressing that only irresponsible citizens would not express worry about the seemingly unending bombing and killings in the country.
