Nigeria - Two Boko Haram suspects yesterday escaped from the arm of the law in Kaduna, Premium Times reports.
The suspects engaged in a gun battle with joint security operatives which led to the death of one of the operatives.
According to the Dagaci (village head) of the area Mallam Suleiman Mohammed, villagers started hearing gunshots at about 1am.
He also said, the team of security operatives comprising soldiers and the State Security Service (SSS), later announced that people in the area should come out of their houses and ordered them to leave the place to avoid collateral damage.
The gunfight lasted for hours which saw a security operative dead and many wounded. The venue of the fight was littered with blood, reports say.
Wives of the terrorists were however arrested and taken to an unknown location.
The incidence occurred at Ungwan Keke-B village in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.
