Nigerian Police Force has confirmed that sixteen (16) people were killed while eighty-two (82) were injured in multiple suicide attacks at Mini Motor park/market at Konduga town.
The Borno state Commissioner of Police, Mr.Damian Chukwu made the confirmation via electronic messages sent to newsmen in Maiduguri on Wednesday.
The statement read:"On 15/08/17 at about 1730 hrs,Two female suicide bombers & a male counterpart approached a Mini Motor park/market at Konduga town,the HQ of Konduga LGA.They all detonated IEDs strapped to their bodies,killing themselves and Sixteen others while about Eighty Two persons were injured,"
"Victims were evacuated to State Specialist Hospital Maiduguri for treatment.
"EOD/Police teams visited and rendered the scene & vicinity safe. Normalcy is restored
