Metro Borno Youths Support Nigerian Army Against Boko Haram

commended the members of the Borno Vigilance Youths Group (BVYG) for their support of the Nigerian Army in the “massive hunt and arrest” of fleeing Boko Haram sect members from Borno State.

Since July the group has arrested over 160 terror suspects in Maiduguri, Bama and Damboa.

At a press conference on, the Chief of Army Staff commended the group for its support not only for Borno, but for their support in the entire North-east sub-region of the country.

Members of the Vigilance Youths and various troops of the Nigerian Army arrested 8 terror suspects in Bulunkutu and Gomari wards of Maiduguri, recovering arms and ammunition from two of the suspects on the day the Chief of Army Staff visited the state.
