Embattled Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has appeared before the seven-member panel set up by the Chief Judge, Suleiman Dikko; Premium Times reported.
Al-Makura reportedly arrived the sitting at about 9.12 a.m. waited for over 30 minutes for the panel members headed by Yusuf Usman to arrive. The governor arrived with a large entourage of political appointees and a member of the state assembly representing Keffi-East, Othman Bala Adam (All Progressives Congress, APC).
As at the time of this report, members of the investigating panel are yet to arrive. The panel is investigating the 16-count charges of impeachment leveled against Al-Makura by the State Assembly.
