Twenty indigent students from Oke-Ogun part of Oyo North Senatorial District studying at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, on Monday, got N25, 000 each courtesy of the Sen. AbdulFatai Buhari who represents the district in the National Assembly.
Presenting the cash in Ogbomoso, his hometown, the former House of Representatives member and commissioner, said the beneficiaries were selected across level, departments and the 10 local government area of Oke ogun zone of his constituency
According to Buhari who is the Chairman Senate Committee on ICT, he urged the students to be more focused and determined in their bid to achieve greatness in life adding that “whatever you learn in school and your determination to succeed will help you in life and I will be happy seeing among you great leaders that will contribute to the development of this nation."
Responding, the students commended the lawmaker for his gesture, promising to fully utilize the grant to finance their educational projects and payment of school fees.
