The Nigerian government is set to hold a crucial meeting with major oil marketers in the country today, PUNCH reports.
Matters to be discussed include the current fuel scarcity in the nation, which is believed to be a thing of worry to President Muhammadu Buhari.
A letter signed by the Director of Information in the ministry, Mr. Kingsley Agha, stated that the meeting was between the “Ministry of Petroleum Resources and oil marketers to address the current fuel scarcity.”
An official of the ministry added further, "the meeting with the oil marketers is to discuss issues pertaining to the scarcity and why it has dragged on for this long. The government is not happy about it and we hope the issue will be adequately addressed during the meeting.”
Although the fuel scarcity crisis in the nation has lessened in recent times, long queues at petrol stations still persist in some areas of the country.
