Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has summoned an emergency Federal Executive Council, (FEC) meeting for Monday 7th December 2015.
The Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) is expected to be discussed ahead of the final preparation of the 2016 Appropriation Bill.
Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, yesterday had said his ministry would this week approach council to seek for approval of the MTEF.
The Monday’s FEC scheduled for the Council Chambers would be second time the meeting will be holding after the inaugural one held on November 11, shortly after the Council was inaugurated by the President
Reports say FEC will now hold meetings when the pressing policy issues to discuss arise, unlike in the previous government the cabinet met every Wednesday.
