Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State is wont for his controversial stance in Nigerian politics, especially with the current APC-led administration in the country. He has has always lent his views on national issues and pledge his continued loyalty for his party, the Peoples Democratic Party.

In 2015, Governor Fayose alleged that Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has health problems and may soon return Nigeria to the Yar’Adua scenario if he becomes president.

President Umaru Musa Yar’Adau collapsed during his campaign in 2011 and fell terminally ill two years after being sworn in.

Then, he clamoured that Nigerians deserve to know the health status of Buhari.

During the 2015 election period, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress was reported to have been interviewed in London. Governor Fayose faulted those claims, describing it as fake, a fabrication on the part of the APC designed to deceive Nigerians.

Fayose said the picture was taken in suite 881 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja contrary to claims that they came from an interview in London, adding, “the picture which was widely published by the media was taken in suite 881 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja."

He took some journalists to the Hotel in Abuja to prove that the photo of Gen Buhari, having an interview with Kemi Fadojutimi on 'All Eyes on Africa' TV show was actually conducted in Abuja and not in London like his media aides claimed. He compared the sofa, paintings, table lamp, the flower vase, the lighting points and DSTV magazine in the suite with what was published in the papers.

President Buhari has been in London for more than a month on a medical leave. Can Fayose be regarded as a Prophet?
