Pro Biafra supporters on Thursday staged a protest at a London hospital with the hopes of confronting Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari, International Business Times UK reports.
President Buhari is currently in London receiving consultation over a persistent ear infection.
The protesters, who are members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, staged a silent protest in front of the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, London. Unconfirmed reports say the President was receiving treatment at the hospital.
Hours after the demonstration, Vice President Osinbajo announced that Buhari won't be back in Nigeria until Sunday.
The protesters are demanding the freedom of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in detention since 2015.
