The wife of the president, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, has launched a programme called, “Get involved”, to prevent death of children from malnutrition.

A statement signed by Nadabo Zakari, her Director, Media & Publicity, said the programme was a major component of her “Future Assured” pet project which comprises healthcare delivery, education and other facets of lives of Nigerian woman and children.

Speaking during the launch of the programme in Abuja yesterday, Mrs Buhari called for the active participation and support of Nigerians and organizations, especially the organized private sector, development partners, relevant United Nations agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

She said with the participation of these bodies, the new initiative would also help to combat the endemic malnutrition among children at Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in the country.
According to her, with the collective efforts of well-meaning Nigerians, no child in the country would lack good diet.
