IRAQ - A 12-year-old girl who recently escaped from the den of the Islamic State fighters has told the story of how she was told by her rapist that it was right to rape her since she practices a different religion from Islam. According to New York Times, the rapist took time to explain this to the girl before raping her said the Quran not only gave him the privilege to rape her - it condoned and encouraged it as well.
Before he raped her, he bound her hands and ggaged her and then knelt beside the bed and prostrated himself to pray before getting on top of her. After the act, he knelt to pray again as an act of devotion.
“I kept telling him it hurts — please stop,” the girl said. “He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever. He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God,” she said in an interview alongside her family in a refugee camp to which she escaped after 11 months of captivity.
