Sports Can Enyimba win the CAF Champions League again? Their coach Kadiri Ikhana thinks so

Enyimba coach Kadiri Ikhana is optimistic that he can lead the club to win another CAF Champions League title.

The Aba based club will be back on the continent in 2015, after finishing second behind Kano Pillars on the league table this past season.

Enyimba remains the only Nigerian club to have won the Champions League, recording such heroic feat in a back to back win in 2003 and 2004, with Ikhana and Okey Emordi respectively leading them to triumph in those successive years.

And Ikhana is confident that he can replicate the success that he achieved eleven years ago.

“Sometimes it depends on the coach and time and chance. I believe Enyimba are going to do better than they have ever done before on the continental stage,” Ikhana told The Punch.

“We are comfortable with what we have now. I believe they can deliver the results.”

Enyimba will kick off their campaign in the preliminary stage on February 15, 2015 with a game against Benin Republic side Buffles du Borgou in Aba.
