The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) will organize a three-day prayer rally in the North- East during the Easter period.
CAN Chairman, Gombe State, Rev. Abare Kalla,said that all the states in the North-East would converge on Gombe to pray for peace.
He said fasting would also be done beside the normal lent observed during the period.
He added that, "we want the problem of the region to be over and we are sure that God is in control. We want to enjoy a positive peace not a negative one".
The chairman said that the zone used to be peaceful and highly cosmopolitan in the past, and stressed the need for restoration of the old peaceful coexistence in the area.
Kalla also urged Christians in the country to pray for the success of the programme.
