The police boss said this in a chat with journalists during a workshop organised for operatives of police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) drawn from Osun, Oyo and Ondo state police commands under Zone II of the Nigerian Police Force.

Adeoye said that road blocks remained banned as ordered by the police headquarters but he noted that there could be stop and search activities where such may be necessary in certain circumstances.

The CP also charged police officers and men to always respect the citizens that they are meant to protect, saying that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idrees would not condone misconduct by any policeman.
