A northern-based activist and President of the Civil Rights Congress of Nigeria, Mallam Shehu Sani, on Thursday tackled President Goodluck Jonathan on his assertion that insecurity in the country, occasioned by the activities of the Boko Haram insurgents, was worse than the Nigerian civil war that claimed one million lives.
Sani, in his reactions to the bomb blast that rocked Abuja on Wednesday, insisted that rather than giving excuses, the President must settle down to solving the current security challenges in the country. The CRC boss, in a statement on Thursday, noted that the unceasing violence in the land reflected the impotence of security agents and the ineptitude of government in combating, containing and crushing the insurgency.
