Okagbare set a new Games record with her winning time of 10.85 seconds in the race after she towered above other athletes.
There was no contest who was going to emerge victorious in the race when Okagbare shook off her 'old ghost' in major finals, starting brilliantly and powering her way past the finish line.
Two Jamaican athletes Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart took second and third respectively, but Okagbare outshone them while they were all chased the Nigerian athlete.
The other Nigerian athlete who ran the finals on the night,Gloria Asumnu was the last to cross the lines, finishing in eight position.
Meanwhile in the men's category,Nigeria's Mark Jelks couldn't secure a podium finish, placing fifth in the 100m finals.
Nigeria have now won three gold medals at the competition, placing 10th on the medal table in Glasgow Scotland.
