AS the Dr Femi Okurounmu-led presidential advisory committee on the proposed national conference continues its tour of the country, soccer legend, John Fashanu, has described Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, former Chief Security Officer to the late General Sani Abacha, as a rallying factor for every Nigerian, noting that he has been advocating for peace and reconciliation around the country.

Fashanu noted that Al-Mustapha was well positioned for any role in the current administration if President Goodluck Jonathan decided to take him on board.

on this issue, Fashanu is right in some ways... Al-Mustapha is a rallying factor, though not for every Nigerian. The entire north lies in his palms... he knows things nobody wants to hear in public, so a lot are forced to rally round, behave well or .......

He should write a book then.

nah...he should hold it over their head till their dying days. Too much piracy in Nigeria, if a buy a copy i could decide to photocopy it for @Lequte even @Bolanle Akanji

Holding it over their heads does not help us. Someone needs to write a book/several books covering all the issues in Nigeria from 1900. Otherwise we are on a journey to nowhere.

Al-Mustapha is not the man to help you...what if Lagos state wins the appeal and he's back in prison? You want him to lose his bargaining chip? First preservation is the first rule of nature bro

Hmm... well then I really do not need to know what he has to say. He should join the queue of people with information about what has happened in Nigeria. No secrets there!! He is not the only person alive who served under Abacha or any other government.

In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king.
