Corona Schools, a co-educational chain of primary and secondary schools, last week asked job seekers to cough out N10,000 per candidate as a precondition for being allowed to partake in the schools’ job-seekers aptitude test. To be sure, they gave out their account details and insisted on applicants coming to the test venue with bank deposit slips to prove the payment.

A text message the school management sent out to applicants on Thursday, just two days before the test, read:

“You are invited to take the Corona iteach aptitude test on Sat 22nd March at Corona School Gbagada 9.30am prompt. You are required to pay a processing fee of N10,000 to the acct details. Stanbic IBTC, Bank Acct No. 0003415088, Acct Name CORONA TEACHERS COLLEGE. Please come with your teller as evidence of payment.”
