Yusuf Lasun, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives has warned unknown persons plotting a coup against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking at a one-day public hearing on proposed further amendments to the Electoral Act 2010, Lasun said overthrowing Buhari will be very difficult.
The Deputy Speaker maintained that democracy at its worst was still the best form of government.
“It might be trivial or right but what we have had in the last two weeks, not because of the position we occupy but because of the level we are in Nigeria today. Having practised democracy for 18 years unbroken I wouldn’t know why some military people want to think that it is time again to come back to the governance of Nigeria.
