The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has granted an order of interim injunction restraining a former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and some members of the other faction from opening a parallel office of the party in the state.
It also barred Daniel and all the five governorship aspirants in the party including Abiodun Akjnlade, Sharafa Ishola, Gboyega Isiaka, Sina Kawonise and Kayode Amusan as well as the factional Chairman and Secretary of the party in the state John Olaleye and Micheal Adegbola respectively from commencing another party registration exercise until the motion was heard and determined by the court. Daniel, Independent National Electoral Commission, the Inspector General of Police, Director of State Security Services,Labour Party and National Chairman of the Labour Party Dan Nwanyanwu among others are the defendants in the suit.
