Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo picked up an award for being the best player in the Champions League last season, as voted by Spanish and Italian sports papers MARCA and Gazzetta Dello Sport.
The forward admitted that he never thought he would reach the heights he has at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"I never expected to reach these numbers," Ronaldo said after receiving the award, according to Marca.
"I knew that Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world, but I didn't expect to beat the numbers of (Alfredo) Di Stefano and Raul.
"My motivation is to keep making history at the best club in the world."
