Nigeria International Shola Ameobi has finally secured a deal back to the English Premier League to play for Crystal Palace.
The former Newcastle striker will be teaming up with his former manager Alan Pardew whom he will be working with at Palace.
Ameobi signed a short term deal that will see him be at Selhurst Park till the end of the season.
The 33-year old has been a free agent since leaving Turkish side Gaziantep, barely some months into the one-year he signed with them.
Palace will be banking on his Premier League experience to help them beat the drop into the Championship.
Just like Palace, other Premier League clubs were interested in bringing him in as a stop-gap measure, with West Brom one of the clubs believed to have been interested in him.
