The Commissioner of Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB, Felix Abali, yesterday said that the entire fleet of #DanaAir was grounded for months by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, due to the fact that most of the engines were faulty.

Abali said that the defectiveness discovered in the engines of the aircraft by the regulatory body led to the directive by the agency that the airline should change its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul, MRO, services provider.

He disclosed this yesterday at the headquarters of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, #FAAN, during the visit of the House Committee on Aviation to the Murtala Mohammed Airport, MMA, Lagos.
