Equities market on the Nigerian Stock Exchange Thursday closed negative extending 2-day report as All Shares Index depreciated by 1.40% to close at 24,829.59 basis points, as against 0.58% depreciation recorded on Wednesday.

The number of gainers at the close of trading session was 9, while decliners closed at 13. Further analysis of the day’s trading showed that Forte Oil topped the gainers with an increase of 2.35 per cent followed by Nigerian Breweries and Okomu oil VITAFOAM and NAHCO at 2.18 and 2 per cent respectively.
On the flip side, Dangote Cement led the losers’ chart down by -8.44 per cent, followed Flour Mill and Dangote Sugar at -0.39 and -0.3 respectively.
