Nigeria- The President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has dropped 44 places to 67th on Forbes' 2015 ranking of billionaires which was released on Monday.

Dangote, who ranked 23rd in 2014, saw his fortune dropped to $14.7bn from $25bn last year, propelled downward by a weaker naira and shrinking demand for cement, his largest asset.

He however retained his position as Africa’s richest man on the 2015 Forbes billionaires’ list.

Bill Gates is once again the richest person on the planet, a title he has held for 16 of the past 21 years. His fortune grew by $3.2bn since last year to $79.2bn, despite a gift of $1.5bn in Microsoft shares to The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in November 2014.
